Data Deletion

If you decide to stop using our services and plan to delete the account, we make sure that your profile no longer appears in the app. However, we will maintain your information in our database for 3 months, in case you want to come back to Haply. You’ll be able to restore your account in these 3 months by logging in with your registered mobile number and Facebook ID.

Please note that your account will be automatically deleted in case there is no activity on the profile for three years. In this case, the user’s data will be maintained in the database for one year.

How To Delete Your Account

Here is how you can delete your account from Haply if you no longer want to continue:

• In the Account settings, look for the "Delete Account" option and tap on it.
• We will ask you to confirm your decision. You may be prompted to provide a reason for leaving. Choose an option and confirm your choice.
• You might see another prompt asking if you are sure you want to delete your account. Confirm your decision one more time.
• Once confirmed, your account will be deleted. You will see a message confirming that your account has been deleted.

Note: Deleting your account is permanent. You will lose all matches, messages, and other data associated with your account. Simply logging out of your Haply account will not delete it. You need to follow the above steps to permanently delete your account. Logging out of the account will still allow other users to see your profile. Deletion of the account will remove your profile from the search algorithm.

Data Retention

We will begin the process of your data deletion but here are some exemptions:

• If you make any app purchases, we must keep your data complying with the law standards.
• We retain certain account information and behavior records that led to an account block to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws. This information is kept for evidential purposes, especially in case of queries or legal claims related to the block.
• If there is any outstanding payment, we must retain the relevant information till it is settled.
