Haply cares about your privacy! This is why we created this policy to keep our users informed about our decisions. This policy explains how we use, store, retain, and protect your personal information. So, you don’t have to worry about the security and confidentiality of your data because it’s safe with us. By using the Haply app or website, you accept all the terms and conditions as described in this policy. We know that it is a long document but it’s important, so we want you to read it out for better transparency and satisfaction.
Data We Collect
Personal Information
When the user downloads the app, here is some information that we require to successfully create the profile:
- Name
- Phone Number
- Date of Birth
- Location
- Pictures
- Gender Identity
- Sexual preference
- Interests
- Login information (If you connect your social media account with Haply)
We need this information to ensure that all the users on the apps are real and not bots. Also, this information helps you find genuine and meaningful connections. Please note that if you provide your personal information, you are permitting us to use that information in the app. This data is also visible to other users for better matches and connections.
Except for Date of Birth, you can always change your information to keep your profile updated and engaging. If you change your phone number or email, make sure you update it in your account also.
Purchase Data
If you make any In-App purchases from our recharge and shop store, we will keep the transactional data of that purchase. We process your purchase data and retain it in our database securely for auditing purposes and tax compliance.
Purchase data is also stored to prevent any fraudulent or shady behavior. Based on the user’s purchasing history, we will alert the user about any unrecognizable behavior. This will help the user take immediate action and avoid getting scammed.
Social Media Data
If you log into your account using social media, you allow us to use that information to access your account. If you allow access to your account, you enable other users to view your social media photos and videos that you’ve shared.
Geolocation Data
We take your geolocation information to provide you with the best possible user experience. Enabling geolocation is necessary for the users to access certain features and find matches nearby. The other geolocation data helps us show you profiles of the people who live or work nearby. Be assured that we will never share your exact location with other users.
Customer Service Data
If you have contacted our support team for assistance, we will keep that email address and query for your assistance. We will keep a record of this data to further improve our services.
How do we use personal data
At Haply, our top priority is delivering the best possible user experience. To make your interactions more engaging and enjoyable, we utilize your personal data to present you with the most suitable profiles. Specifically, we use your name, photos, age, and sexual preference to create customized profiles that align with your interests and preferences. This approach ensures a more tailored and fulfilling experience for you.
Personal Data: Based on different parameters, our matching algorithm shows the profiles that we think are the best for you. All your personal data including name, age, gender, height, and sexual preferences will be visible to other users. This information is necessary for targeted searches that consider age, bio, religion, height, and other details you provide.
We will also take your Date of birth to calculate your age and identify that you are 18+ and legally adult to use a dating app. Keep note that we will not disclose your exact date of birth to other users, they can only see your age.
Login Information:Your login information is used for your identity to access your account. This login information is mandatory to verify that the login is authenticated by the real user only. We will also require permission to send you the SMS notifications to send you login OTP, and other notifications.
Pictures: We have made photos absolutely necessary for the onboarding to ensure that all the profiles are genuine. Your profile picture should be a photo of yourself where your face is clearly visible. That picture cannot be a group picture, a screenshot, or a picture of any celebrity. We may run a face detection tool on your profile picture to identify that the picture is of a real person. Our system automatically removes any picture that contains obscenity and nudity. You can update your profile picture anytime to keep your profile updated and engaging.
Chats and Bio: Your chat messages with others are strictly private and we do not disclose them anywhere until legal obligations require us to do so. However, our system runs a detection check on the bio section of the user to prevent any hate speech, vulgar content, and abusive language. If the system detects any offensive content written on the bio, Haply reserves all the right to remove it.
How do we protect your data?
The user’s data security is our utmost priority. We implement comprehensive measures to protect your data, ensuring it remains safe and secure. To guard against unauthorized access, misuse, and disclosure, we utilize encryption for confidential user data, secure servers, and robust firewalls. This ensures that no unauthorized person can have access to misuse the data.
However, it's important to note that no method of data transmission over the Internet is completely foolproof. While we employ the best possible security practices to safeguard your data, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all potential data breaches or misuse. Despite these inherent limitations, we remain fully committed to doing everything within our power to keep your data secure.

Be assured that your data is safe with us and Haply does not sell your personal data to any third parties. Our policy does not allow us to disclose user’s information to any third parties except under these conditions:

We share the information with third parties if we are legally obligated to do so. At Haply, we are committed to protecting the rights and privacy of every user. We fully support any kind of criminal investigation, subpoena, search warrant, or legal action.
Business Transfers
If, in the future, we sell or transfer our business rights to third parties, we will share the user’s personal information as transferred assets.
Service Providers
We use third-party service providers for certain services like billing, authentication, marketing, and social media. For moderating the written content on the Haply app, we use a moderation service to avoid obscenity and uncensored content and share the required information with them. All these companies are our trusted partners and we share the data with them only to facilitate their respective services.
Your Rights as a User
We respect your privacy and you have the right to protect it too. You have the following rights as a Haply user:
- You have the right to get all the information about how we collect your data, how we use it, and with whom we disclose this data. You get all this information in this privacy policy.
- You have the right to rectify or update your data at any time on the app.
- You have the right to delete some of the data from the app. If you do not wish to continue with the Haply app, you can delete your account and we will initiate the process to delete the data as mentioned in this policy.
- You can request a copy of your shared personal data by contacting our support team.
- At any given point in time, you can access your right to consent withdrawal. You can withdraw any access to device permission, consent to send push notifications and location permission you have given to us.
You can always contact us to access your rights as a user. Please note that we can reject your request if it violates other user’s rights. We may also reject your request if we fail to authenticate your identity. We need to know that it is actually you in order to process your request.
Change to the Policy
This policy may be updated periodically. We are constantly improving our services to offer you better services and we may bring changes to this policy from time to time. We will notify you if we bring any substantial moderation in the app.
